Q: Should I wear hat/towel on my head to cover hair? In a traditional (both wet & dry saunas), it is necessary to cover your head - to protect hair and to protect from head overheating. I wonder how that works in Infra-Red sauna.
A: Infrared saunas operate at lower temperatures than traditional saunas (dry or wet) so they don't effect the hair as much. If you feel your hair is dry after using the sauna, than using a damp towel during the sauna session will help. This is a personal choice and will vary from one person to another.
